AGM 2009 Agenda
Opening
This year, to fit in with public holidays, we hope
to have the tennis courts ready for play on Sunday the 29th
March while the
bowling season will start on Saturday 11th April.
Tennis Coaching
The coaching sessions this year will be restricted
to 8 members per session and will be available on a first come first
served basis, so book early. Should there be a waiting list,
we may be able to find some additional slots. Failing that,
those who do not get a place will get first chance in the summer
sessions.
Courts
The new system for maintaining the tennis courts
worked very well last year and will continue again this year.
If you can volunteer to help lay the lines please contact
Peter Clarke on 447 1816.
Clean-up
Day
There will be a clean-up day on Saturday 28th March
starting at 11.00am. Don't leave it all to someone else to do
it. Come along and help. Someone else has never
once turned up during the last ten years!!!
Tennis
There is some demand for the tennis ladder to be
reinstated and we hope also introduce a competitive league for
interested juniors. Details will be published in the
"office". We also plan to run a Summer School for the juniors
- watch the newsletter for details.
Bowls
As previousely stated, the bowling season will
start on Saturday 12th April.
Boule
Over the winter we had a good turn out for the
Boule, which was played on Saturdays at 11.00am and on Wednesdays at
2.00pm by a very enthusiastic group.
Art Group
The art group met in the clubhouse on Wednesdays at
2.00pm. Whilst the attendance was disappointing this was more
than made up for the by the enthusiasm of those who turned up.
Key Dates
Please keep your copy of the Key Dates or note them
in your Diary.
Club
Comments
We have in the past asked you, the members, for
your comments - good & bad - and are once again asking you to
give some feedback to the committee. Tell us what you like or
dislike about the club and be assured your comments will be taken
onboard.
